What is the Average Yield of Strawberry Plants?

The answer is complex and depends on various factors such as 😄 the age of the plants, variety, their health, density, water supply during fruit set and growth, soil nutrient content, presence of bees during flowering, etc. However, an estimate can be made under certain assumptions.

If we assume that a good yield from a commercial plantation, where for example 50,000 plants are grown per hectare, is about 25 tons per hectare, it means that an average of 0.5 kg of fruit 🍓 can be harvested from one plant. Therefore, if we plant strawberries in the garden on an area of 100 m² with 500 plants, use healthy seedlings, prevent weed growth and drought in our crop, do not forget about fertilization and protection (preferably using biological products), theoretically, we can count on a yield of 250 kg. In practice, it may be higher, but if we neglect some important element, it can also be lower. 😊
