Description

• General characteristics: Strong growth. Bent at the top, stiff. Very resistant to frost and diseases.
• It does not suffer from shoots dying or rotting fruits. A very high-yield variety. The fruits on two-year-old shoots are large, cone shaped, dark red, with a small coating.
• This variety is perfect for freezing or processing, but can also be planted in the garden for eating. The variety bears fruits on two-year-old shoots, medium-late season (around mid-July to mid-September).
• It grows well in the Irish climate. It grows best in fertile, moderately cohesive, slightly acidic soil (pH 5.5-6.8). Likes permeable soil and regular watering.
• The first pruning should be done in the spring (right after planting if it is done in the spring). Cut all the shoots near the ground. If the raspberry was planted in autumn, then the pruning should be done in early spring.
